The battle of heavy data at affordable rates continues between telecom giants Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio. This time it would be Sunil Mittal led Airtel who has made the move to strike at RJio with a launch of new recharge pack priced at Rs 449 for prepaid customers. RJio, since inception, has been known for providing cheap services including data, unlimited calls, SMS and many other freebies. This has taken a toll on Airtel’s financial performance, which led the company to change it’s business strategy to lure customers.

Airtel’s Rs 449 pack gives 2GB data per day in 4G/3G for a validity period of 28 days. Apart from there unlimited local, STD and national roaming calls, alongside 100 local and STD SMS per day.

If we compare this pack with RJio, Airtel fails in terms of amount of recharge pack and validity period.

There are two RJio prepaid packs namely Rs 448 and Rs 398 which take on Airtel’s new entrant.

RJio in Rs 448 prepaid pack gives similar 2GB data per day in 4G network however, for a period of 84 days. Therefore, in total RJio is giving away massive 168 GB data. There is also unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day available along with complimentary subscription of Jio apps.

In case of Rs 398 pack, 2GB data per day for a period of 70 days has been made available. Other offers are same as above.

Hence, once again RJio continues to beat Airtel in prepaid packs.
