The global smartphone brand Xiaomi on Wednesday announced the launch of several flagship products in India during its Spring Summer Flagship event today. The company launched its latest flagship phone Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5 -- its first tablet for India in seven years, a new Xiaomi Smart TV 5A series and its first OLED TV for India called Xiaomi OLED Vision.

According to the company, Xiaomi 12 Pro has a starting price of Rs 62,999 for the 8GB RAM+256GB version while the 12GB RAM option will cost Rs 66,999. It will go on sale starting May 2. Xiaomi is offering an introductory discount of Rs 6,000 for ICICI Bank credit and debit card holders. The smartphone will also hold a special Mi Fan sale for the phone on May 1, wherein users can trade in their older Mi or Redmi Note device extra discount credit.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 will start at Rs 24,999 for the base 128GB storage option, while the 256GB version will cost Rs 26,999. But keep in mind these are introductory prices only valid till May 7. The official prices at Rs 26,999 and Rs 28,999 respectively. It goes on sale from May 3. The Xiaomi Smart Pen and Smart Keyboard were also launched in India.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro sports Gorilla Glass Victus protection with a 2K+ AMOLED display having a peak brightness of 1500 nits. Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Xiaomi 12 Pro features 50MP + 50MP + 50MP rear camera setup. 

The smartphone has a 32MP selfie camera. Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and runs on MIUI 13 interface on top of Android 12. The phone supports 120W HyperCharge charger in the box supporting a 4,500mAh battery. There is also support for 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.

On the other hand, Xiaomi Pad 5 features a 10.95-inch screen that offers 1600 x 2560 pixel resolution and supports a DCI-P3 colour gamut with over 1 billion colours. The display gets a 2K (2560×1600) display resolution. The display offers a pixel density of 275 ppi. The peak brightness is 650 nits. The display also gets 120Hz refresh rate.

The tab also gets Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. The display gets a 16:10 aspect ratio which Xiaomi claims will offer a smooth transition from 16:9 content.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 860 chipset. Xiaomi claims the Snapdragon chipset will provide flagship-grade performance. With gaming, they have promised that the tablet will be able to handle heavy-duty games like BGMI.

The tablet is equipped with an 8,720mAh battery. It offers up to 6GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The device also supports UFS 3.1 storage. The Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a 22.5W fast charger in the box. However, the tablet can support up to 33W of fast charging.
