The Xiaomi 12 Pro India launch is near and it is expected to be available on an e-commerce platform Amazon for purchase. A few days back, Manu Kumar Jain, Global VP of Xiaomi also tweeted about the smartphone hinting at the imminent launch.

Xiaomi India had already tweeted about the phone’s upcoming arrival, hinting it will launch on April 12, though the official date is yet to be confirmed. A picture posted by Manu Jain, suggests the smartphone could debut in India on April 12 (calendar on the table has the date marked). It's unclear if the 12 Pro will be joined by the vanilla 12 and 12X or Xiaomi will skip them in India.

Although the launch date has not been announced yet, the company has confirmed that the smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup. It might come in a black colour option and is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The company is promoting this handset as “The Showstopper”.

Xiaomi 12 series was first launch in China and global markets. It is expected that the India variant will also come with the same specifications. Xiaomi 12 Pro features a 6.73-inch E5 AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sample rate. The smartphone uses a 10-bit panel with a resolution of 3,200×1,440 pixels. It is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

The mobile phone runs Google’s Android 12 operating system with the company’s latest MIUI 13 skins on top. All of this is backed by a 4,600mAh battery with support for 120W wired, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The smartphone features a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-wide angle sensor. At the front, it features a 32MP sensor for taking selfies. The premium Xiaomi 12 Pro costs $999 (around Rs 76,300) for the 8GB/256GB storage version in China. It is expected to come in same price bracket in India as well.
