As the demand for affordable smartphones grows in India, Chinese tech major Realme has now launched a new variant of its entry-level smartphone Realme C12 with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM for Rs 9,999 in India, which will give some tough competition to the rival smartphone brands like Xiaomi, Nokia, Vivo and others in the budget segment.

Observing the massive consumer demand in the sub Rs 10k segment, Realme has launched an upgraded version of the earlier Realme C12 3GB+32GB variant to meet market requirements. The new Realme C12 variant costs more than its entry-level sibling (3GB+32GB) by Rs 1,000.

Realme C12 is available in two colours – Power Blue and Power Silver. The smartphone will be up for sale on January 19, from 12:00 am on realme.com, Flipkart, and from January 20 in mainline stores.

The Realme C12 features a 6.5-inch LCD HD+ dew-drop notch display and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The mini drop on the screen is 30.9% smaller than the normal dewdrop, making the screen to body ratio as high as 88.7%.
In terms of design, Realme C12 features a distinct Geometric Gradient finish. Powered by MediaTek Helio G35 processor, the realme C12 is ideal for mainstream users and gamers, equipped to handle most mid-to-heavy apps and games.

Realme C12 smartphone has a triple-camera layout with a 13MP main lens, a 2MP monochrome(B/W sensor), and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, there is a waterdrop-style notch on the screen that houses a 5MP selfie camera.

Realme C12 camera also supports AI beautification function, HDR mode, portrait mode. It also supports a Panoselfie mode, enabling users to take wider selfies.

The Realme C12 feature a massive 6000mAh battery with 10W charging. Other Realme C12 features include microSD card slot(for storage expansion), micro-USB and 3.5mm audio jack ports, rear fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS.

"Based on Android 10 and ColorOS 7, the realme UI is well-built for an enhanced and closer to stock Android experience. It has been designed keeping in mind the preferences and aesthetics of young consumers and is seamless and fun to use," the company said.
