Vivo Y12s: In a bid to make further inroads into the budget segment market share in India, Global smartphone brand Vivo on Tuesday launched its new affordable smartphone 'Vivo Y12s' with a 5000mAh battery in India at Rs 9,990 for a 3GB RAM+32GB ROM variant. The launch offers for the new Vivo Y12a include zero down payment option from Bajaj Finserv, Home Credit, IDFC First Bank, HDB, and Pine Labs. Also, Reliance Jio customers can avail benefits worth Rs 7,000 on the purchase of this device, the brand said.

Priced at Rs 9,990, the latest addition in the youthful Y-series portfolio, Vivo Y12s is available for purchase in two attractive colour options -- 'Phantom Black' and 'Glacier Blue' on vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, and across all partner retail stores.

The Vivo Y12s features a 6.51-inch Halo FullView Display with HD+ (1600×720) resolution, providing a seamless experience for both videos and games. It also offers side fingerprint scanner with the power button to easily unlock and power-on the device at the same time. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 Mobile Platform and comes with the latest FunTouch OS 11 based on the latest Android 10.

Commenting on launch of Vivo Y12s, Nipun Marya, Director- Brand Strategy, Vivo India said, “The Y12s is yet another effort from vivo to continue offering convenient features like reverse charging with 5000mAh battery and capable AI Dual Camera with Bokeh mode at a reasonable price point.

"The Y-series line-up reiterates Vivo’s efforts to make technology accessible with leading camera capabilities, premium design and seamless experience to the consumers," Marya added.

The Vivo Y12s is equipped with a dual rear rectangular camera setup of 13MP with an f/2.2 aperture and 2MP with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front of the device, there is an 8MP camera sensor for selfies and video chats.

Like all vivo devices, the Y12s follows Vivo’s commitment to ‘Make in India’ and is manufactured at Vivo’s Greater Noida facility, the brand said.
