The Chinese smartphone company Realme has officially confirmed that it will be holding a special event at 9 AM GMT on December 20. The poster released by the brand states that it will be a Realme GT 2 series event. Earlier this month, the company confirmed that it will be launching Realme GT 2 Pro with the newly-launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

Now, it seems like that the GT 2 Pro may go official on December 20. The Realme GT 2 Pro leaks have revealed that it will be sporting a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to arrive with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 3.1 storage, the gizmochina reported.

The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The new Snapdragon 8 leads the way into a new era of premium mobile technology equipped with cutting-edge 5G, AI, gaming, camera, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies to transform the next generation of flagship devices.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be adopted by global OEMs and brands, including Black Shark, Honor, iQOO, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, Redmi, SHARP, Sony Corporation, Vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE, with commercial devices expected by the end of 2021.

For selfies, the GT 2 Pro may come equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera. Its back panel has a triple camera unit, which includes an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel 1/1.5-inch sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a telephoto snapper.
