There's no doubt OnePlus has done phenomenally well in recent times especially when we talk about smartphone accessories -- wearable bands and TWS devices. Available at Rs 9,990, the OnePlus Buds Pro is available in two color options - black and white. I used the Black color variant for more than two weeks and here are my views about the premium TWS earphones from OnePlus. The new premium true wireless earbuds feature an industry-leading smart noise reduction system, superior call quality, extended battery performance, and a personalized sound profile, to create a truly immersive and premium audio experience. When it comes to the design, specifications, and features of OnePlus Buds Pro I felt that the OnePlus Buds Pro is lighter, comfortable for your ears especially when we compare it with Galaxy Buds Pro. In terms of design, well, both the charging case and the earbuds will justify the pricing. It looks premium, beautiful in-ear design, is very light, easy-to-carry, and looks amazing on the ears. One can easily fall in love with both a charging case and earbuds.

The major USP of this device is, the OnePlus Buds Pro comes with active noise cancellation (ANC) as well as fast charging. The earbuds also come with an all-new design that brings glossy stems with support for pressure inputs — similar to the AirPods Pro. The earphones weigh 4.35 grams each, while the charging case weighs 52 grams. Overall, the design of the SOnePlus Buds Pro is pretty impressive, or I can say beautiful a perfect competition for Apple indeed. The earbuds can be easily used while wearing a mask, helmet, or performing any physical task, especially during your workout sessions. Also, the OnePlus Buds Pro has a neat matte black finish, while the stems have a glossy dark grey finish.  You will see no logos or markings, apart from the ‘L' and ‘R' to signify which buds go where. Honestly, priced below Rs 10,000, OnePlus Buds Pro has a true premium design and looks. The charging case of the OnePlus Buds Pro looks simple on the outside and you will see the OnePlus logo etched onto the top, an indicator light is at the front just below the lid, and the back has a USB Type-C port for charging. You will Qi wireless charging support for the case. The good thing is the earphones are IP55 rated for dust and water resistance, and the case is also IPX4 rated for water resistance.

Coming back to features, other than active noise cancellation (ANC) and Ambient Sound, the OnePlus Buds Pro is equipped with multiple features like,  environmental noise or chatter, adjusting the level of noise cancellation accordingly to keep users immersed and undistracted from their tunes. Each earbud features a three-mic setup that actively filters out noise levels of up to 40dB as needed in order to deliver a much more comfortable and tailored listening experience as opposed to conventional ANC systems with fixed levels of noise cancellation.  Coupled with enhanced noise reduction algorithms and a mechanical design to reduce wind noise, the OnePlus Buds Pro ensure calls are always crystal clear even in loud environments. Coupled with two large 11mm dynamic drivers and Dolby Atmos support, the OnePlus Buds Pro brings music to life with rich treble, heart-pounding bass, and crystal-clear vocals. The earbuds also support OnePlus’ lightning-fast Warp Charge, as well as third-party Qi-certified wireless chargers so users can stay connected with their music at all times.

The OnePlus Buds Pro is compatible with both iOS and Android devices I used this earbud on the Apple iPhone 13 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Fold 3, and on MacBook Air. It was easy to connect. The true wireless earbuds also offer Bluetooth 5.2 support and latency as low as 94ms with Pro Gaming mode turned on. With ANC mode on, you will witness some next-level listening experience. Whether you're in the market, traveling in a metro or any other place, it doesn't matter, you will have a really good ANC experience. I was listening to the 'No Direction' song by Rachael Yamagata and  'Thunder" by Imagine Dragons on repeat mode and watched web series on the OnePlus Buds Pro. I really liked the music while using these buds and the overall experience was decent. While taking calls or watch movies for long hours and playing games such as Garena Free Fire and Battlegrounds Mobile India, I felt that audio performance was amazing.

One of the major USPs of the device is its long-lasting battery life also a small light on the front of the charging case will give you a rough idea of the battery level and status of the earbuds. The OnePlus Buds Pro case has a 520 mAh lithium-ion battery and the buds offer a battery life of up to 38 hours along with the charging case on a full charge and 10 hours with just a brief 10-minute charge. While taking calls, listening to music for long hours, playing games, and watching series on Netflix, the buds worked perfectly fine. While making and receiving voice, video calls, we faced no issues with voice quality.

OnePlus Buds Pro verdict: Available at Rs 9,990, the OnePlus Buds Pro is top-class premium and decent earbuds which compete directly against the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and Oppo Enco X  – all of which also comes with an Active Noise Cancellation feature. Overall, OnePlus Buds Pro has a beautiful design, decent battery life and amazing sound performance.
