Nothing phone (1): Consumer tech company Nothing on Tuesday confirmed that its first smartphone Nothing phone (1) will be available on Flipkart in India. Also, the company recently announced that Nothing phone (1) will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon mobile platform.

According to the company, O2 will be the network partner for Nothing in the UK and in Germany, Telekom Deutschland will be the operator for phone (1). It will be the company's first smartphone and a second device (after a true wireless earbud) in the overall product ecosystem.

"Powered by Android-based Nothing OS and supercharged by Qualcomm's Snapdragon platform, phone (1) delivers a fast, smooth experience . Pricing, availability and partner incentives will be announced at a later date," the company said. 

"When we started Nothing we wanted to bring back the excitement we once felt for the tech industry. Joining forces with leading telcos and retailers, we look forward to shaking up the smartphone market together. We can’t wait to reveal phone (1) to the world later this summer," said Carl Pei, CEO and Co-founder of Nothing.

“We are delighted to bring Nothing’s much awaited phone (1) to Indian consumers and we are confident that it will be another exciting milestone in the smartphone industry," Ajay Veer Yadav, Senior Vice President, Flipkart, said in a statement. 

The company just announced that its Nothing Launcher (Beta) operating system is now available for all devices with Android 11 and higher. Android users can preview Nothing OS graphics and animations unified by it distinctive design language. Last month, CEO and Co-founder Carl Pei confirmed plans to launch Nothing phone (1), its first smartphone, while sharing the first look of Nothing OS. Nothing OS offers a new experience for Android.
