HMD Global, the maker of Nokia phones and accessories, has launched a new budget smartphone Nokia C20 Plus in China. The new Nokia phone comes as an upgrade to the Nokia C20 that HMD Global unveiled in April. The Nokia C20 Plus will be available in two color options - black and blue.

Nokia C20 Plus priced at CNY699 (around Rs 7,991.32) and will go on sale in China starting June 16. The company didn't reveal anything on India pricing and availability yet but several reports hinted that this budget smartphone might cost Rs 8,000 in India. However, readers are advised to wait for the official announcement.

According to a report from the gsmarena, Like the vanilla C20, the Nokia C20 Plus runs Android 11 (Go Edition) and has a Unisoc SC9863A SoC at the helm. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and you also get a microSD card slot, allowing storage expansion by up to 256GB.

The Nokia C20 Plus comes in a one-piece polycarbonate shell with a 3D corrugated design, which the company says makes it strong and sturdy. The smartphone packs a 6.5" HD+ LCD having a waterdrop notch for the 5MP selfie camera, and around the back, you get a circular camera island housing the 8MP primary and 2MP depth units, the report said.

Also, Nokia C20 Plus has 32GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.

Nokia C20 Plus measures 165.4x75.85mm and weighs 204.7 grams. The Nokia C20 Plus doesn't have a fingerprint reader, but it supports Face Unlock for biometric unlocking. It also comes with the 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 4,950 mAh battery that, sadly, draws power through a microUSB port at up to 10W.
