Ahead of the official launch, reports have emerged that this time Apple is likely to come up with massive battery backup and many other new features.

According to leaks, the iPhone 15 will be powered by a 3,877mAh battery while iPhone 15 Plus will come with 4,912mAh battery. The iPhone 15 Pro will have a 3,650mAh battery and a 4,852mAh battery will power the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

However, till now, there has been no official announcement about the features and specification about the iPhone 15 series. It is widely speculated that the iPhone 15 series will come tipped with up to 18 percent larger battery units.

Speaking of the other features, the iPhone 15 lineup will come with a powerful chipset and a Titanium frame, among others.

Let's take a look at other expected key specifications for the iPhone 15 series.

A17 Bionic Chip

Apple's USP has been a powerful chipset, and the company has upgraded the chipset with every new model. The iPhone 14 Pro model got an upgrade to the A16 Bionic chipset, and the iPhone 15 Pro model is expected to get the A17 Bionic chip.

Titanium frame

It is expected that the stainless steel frame will be replaced with a titanium frame for the iPhone 15 Pro model. This may be the first model of iPhone that will include a frame made of titanium, making it stand out from other series.

USB-C Port with Thunderbolt

According to reports and leaks so far, the upcoming model of the iPhone 15 series is likely to have a Type-C port. This will be a significant change that will help users connect easily with other devices. The Thunderbolt port is also expected in the iPhone 15 Pro model, which will support live 4K Thunderbolt output.

Apple is likely to replace the mute switch, which they also call the "action button". The iPhone 15 series will have a specialised, customised action button, which will help users enable additional features, a few reports suggest.

Additional RAM

In the iPhone 15 series, the RAM is also expected to get upgraded.  According to reports, the iPhone 15 series may come with RAM ranging from 6GB to 8GB.

iPhone 15 Camera

Apple’s iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models could feature a 48-megapixel rear camera lens. These models featuring a 48-megapixel camera will use a three-stacked sensor that can capture more light for enhanced image quality, MacRumors reported citing Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu.

The tech giant has already introduced the 48MP camera lens with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, which were launched last year.
