Android 13 release: Google is preparing  its annual developer conference — Google I/O 2022. The annual Android developer event will begin on May 11 (Wednesday) with a keynote address from Alphabet Inc CEO Sundar Pichai and go on until May 12 (Thursday).

Google will announce the latest Android 13 features along with a bunch of other things. The new Android 13 beta update is already out, which gives small hint of what to expect once the stable update rolls out later this year. In, Google I/O 2022, the company will dive deep into the new Android 13 features at I/O 2022. 

Soon after the event, the beta release is expected to be available for Pixel smartphones. Like always, other OEMs may announce Android 13 beta on select smartphones in the coming months. According to IANS report, the new Android 13 update will also let users pick between clock styles on the lock screen. 

According to the report, Android 13 will also bring a new Photo Picker feature which will allow users to share photos and videos securely with other apps. Also, Google will also introduce a new feature in Android 13 that requires users to give permission for notifications.

Also, during its two day conference, the-US based tech giant will announce updates to its cloud infrastructure and other platforms and tools such as Flutter, Firebase, and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) based platforms. 

The company has also opened a poll on its official Android handle on Twitter asking users “Which update are you most excited to see on May 11–12?” The options include — Security Updates, Messaging Updates, Cross Device Updates and New Partnerships.

Google typically uses Google I/O to launch out its mid-budget smartphone. The company is expected to keep up with this trend in 2022 with the launch of Pixel 6A smartphone.. 

As per report, Google’s Pixel Watch is also expected to come. This smartwatch may come with a circular design, physical crown, and Fitbit integration. Additional features include SPO2 tracker, sleep apnea detection, heartbeat alert, stress tracking, and calorie tracking among other things.
