Samsung 5G update: Good news! After Apple, South Korean tech giant Samsung on Wednesday announced that all 5G-enabled devices, including smartphones, will get an OTA update by November 2022, enabling Indian consumers to experience 5G seamlessly.

As of now, only these phones from Samsung - Galaxy A53 5G, A33 5G, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy M33, Samsung Flip 4, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Samsung Fold 4 are available are compatible with Airtel 5G Plus service, the only 5G service available to use as of now. 

Airtel launched Airtel 5G Plus in eight Indian cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and Varanasi. Airtel 5G Plus provides speed that are up to 30x faster than the Airtel 4G.

Earlier today, Apple confirmed that 5G software update on its iPhones in the country will be made available in December. Those using iPhone 14 , iPhone 13, iPhone 12  series and iPhone SE (third generation) models will get an upcoming software update on 5G.

“We are working with our carrier partners in India to bring the best 5G experience to iPhone users as soon as network validation and testing for quality and performance is completed. 5G will be enabled via a software update and will start rolling out to iPhone users in December, Apple told Zee Business.
