The global smartphone brand Oppo on Wednesday announced that the Android 12-based ColorOS 12 Beta Version will be available on Oppo devices in India, starting today. While the Find X2 will receive the update today, the Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G and Reno 6 Pro 5G Diwali edition will receive it from November 22 onwards, and the Reno 6 5G from November 25th.

ColorOS is a highly customized, efficient, intelligent, and richly designed Android-based mobile OS from Oppo. With over 370 million global users, ColorOS supports more than 80 languages, including English, Bahasa, and Thai.

The update will include more and more models, such as, the Oppo Find, Reno, F and A series – letting more users to enjoy ColorOS’ inclusive design, smooth experience, and newest features, comprising of the visualized battery dashboard, inclusive design language, Anti-peeping notifications and many more, the company said.

The Oppo Find X2 series debuted with ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10. The three models were updated to Android 11-based ColorOS 11 last year. Therefore, ColorOS 12 is their second major Android update and will receive one more Android update in the future.

Meanwhile, s reportedly planning to launch its first foldable smartphone phone which is codenamed "Peacock" next month. The upcoming OPPO Fold is expected to feature an inward folding design like the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Huawei Mate X2, reports GizmoChina.

The device is said to come with an 8-inch LTPO OLED panel that offers a 120W refresh rate. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform.

In the camera department, the device could feature a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel primary camera on the back. In addition, the device will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and have support for 65W fast charging technology.
