Before the official announcement on launch, MacRumors in a report said that the rising component costs and Apple’s determination to differentiate Pro and non-Pro iPhones, will see the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max increase to $1099 and $1199 respectively. Also, the iPhone 14 may cost around $899, iPhone 14 Max at $999.

As noted on Twitter by MacRumors contributor Steve Moser, the Xcode 14 beta features an interesting Lock Screen interface that eliminates detail from an on-screen widget as the screen wakes. The animation indicates that the ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ models could remove intricate details from widgets and other Lock Screen content when the iPhone is locked and the always-on display is active.

As per MacRumors, Always-on display functionality is expected to be limited to the ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ and ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max as these devices will have the necessary display technology. The ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ and Pro Max will feature refresh rates that vary from 1Hz to 120Hz, an improvement over the 10Hz to 120Hz refresh rates available with the iPhone 13 Pro devices.

Apple is planning to use different OLED panel grades for the upcoming iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, according to a report from IANS. The report said that according to TheElec, Samsung Display will be applying different grades of materials on the OLED panels it will manufacture for the upcoming iPhone 14 series depending on the model tiers.
