Before the official announcement on launch, a new report from MacRumors has revealed that the rising component costs and Apple’s determination to differentiate Pro and non-Pro iPhones, will see the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max increase to $1099 and $1199 respectively. Also, the iPhone 14 may cost around $899, iPhone 14 Max at $999.

The entry-level iPhone 14 models are expected to keep the same set of rear cameras with wide and ultra-wide lenses of 12MP each. However, this year’s Pro models will get a new wide camera with a 48MP sensor capable of shooting videos in 8K resolution, the report further added.

Apple is planning to use different OLED panel grades for the upcoming iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, according to a report from IANS. The report said that according to TheElec, Samsung Display will be applying different grades of materials on the OLED panels it will manufacture for the upcoming iPhone 14 series depending on the model tiers. It will use its latest and most advanced material set for the higher tier iPhone 14 models, while it will use its prior generation set for the lower tier ones. The move is being made to save costs.

Samsung Display will be supplying OLED panels for all four models of the iPhone 14 series; rival LG Display will be supplying for two models, citing sources, the report said. The Cupertino-based tech giant may also unveil new AirPods Pro, new Apple Watch, updated iPad Pros, and more
