Apple iPhone 12 launch will take place on October 13, the tech giant confirmed late Tuesday evening by rolling out invites for its event. Usually, the company is known to launch its new line up of iPhones in September but this year, the launch was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Apple has named this year's event 'High Speed', which hints that the new iPhones can come with 5G support.

The new Apple iPhone 12 launch will take place on October 13 at 10 am PDT (10 PM IST). This year the company is expected to launch four different models of the iPhone. While there is no official word, the most affordable of these is expected to be the iPhone 12 Mini while the highest-end flagship will be the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

There is also an iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro in the mix. The new iPhone 12 Mini will reportedly emphasize on a compact form, featuring a 5.4-inch screen.

The Apple iPhone 12 models are likely to be expensive than their predecessors. This could be because of the additional BOM (Bill of Materials) on the new phones, which now features additional hardware to enable 5G speeds.

There are others hoping that the high speed also means faster refresh rate. The company is yet to launch smartphones with 120Hz refresh rate. However, it is unlikely.

Interestingly, this will also be the first year when Apple will not be including in-box accessories in the iPhone 12 packaging like a charging adapter or bundled Earpods. The step was taken with other recently launched Apple products like Watch Series 6 and the Watch SE.
