The first day of the Amazon Great Indian Festival, the one meant only for Amazon Prime members, saw the record feat being pulled off primarily because of the huge discount on the iPhone 11. Launched just last year, the Apple iPhone 11 was listed for Rs 47,999 at the sale - which is its lowest price ever.

Apple iPhone 11 64GB was available at a never-before price of Rs 47,999 during the Amazon Great Indian sale. With the additional discount for HDFC debit/credit cardholders, the iPhone 11 will be available at an even lower price of Rs 45,999. With the bank offer, consumers will get Rs 2,000 discount.

Apart from this, the e-commerce giant witnessed great sales across categories. The top categories registering the most sales have been smartphones, consumer electronics and large appliances with Apple, Samsung, OnePlus and Xiaomi raking in the record sales. Smartphones, laptops, tabs, smartwatches, cameras, security cameras and drones have been popular searches at this year’s Amazon Great Indian Festival.

Among smartphones, the Apple iPhone 11 topped the sale charts followed by the Redmi Note series, Redmi 9A, OnePlus 8T and the OnePlus Nord, Samsung M31. For TVs the OnePlus 43-inch and 32-inch smart TVs have been the top sellers followed by the Samsung 32-inch TV. Amazon said that it has sold 2.5 times more Kindle devices on the first day of the sale than it has over the entire of the last year’s sale.
