According to a Sportskeeda report, the launch of the early access for the battle royale title prior to the releasing of the final version had a warm reception from the Indian audience, already surpassing five millions downloads within a day. However, this launch of the early version of the game for the Android users raised the question of the availability of the game on iOS devices as the iOS users also missed the pre-registration for Battlegrounds Mobile India as its pre-registration for the Android devices went live from May 18, 2021, on Google Play store.

As of now, the developer of the game, Krafton has not announced any pre-registration date for the game on iOS devices. Also, the early access of the game for iOS users has also not been announced. The support section of Battleground's Mobile India says, "We will keep our fans informed on further developments. Now, there can be queries regarding the similarities and the differences between PUBG Mobile and Battlegrounds Mobile India. It has to be noted that PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September 2020. As per a DNA report, prior to the ban of the game in the country, several parents used to complain that the game was affecting their children due to a lot of violence portrayed in the game. While the new game has retained of PUBG Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India has made significant changes to terminology and visuals as well, including the colour when a player is hit.

It may be recalled in PUBG Mobile, the default colour was red which looked like blood splatter. However, in Battlegrounds Mobile India, Krafton has used green colour in place of red and it also shows feathers instead of splatter-like animation. The new version also has changed the term “kills" to “finishes" in order to tell the number of players defeated by a player.

As of now, the Android users are enjoying the early version of the game, however, the iOS users must check the official social media handles of Battlegrounds Mobile India as well as its official website regarding the release of the game for the iOS devices.
