WhatsApp Video Message: WhatsApp has been a host of features of late. The latest feature added by the instant messaging platform is video messages. The feature was announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The feature allows users to record and share short, personal videos directly in WhatsApp Chat. It is well known that voice messages really changed the way people used to communicate on such platforms. The voice message feature provided a quick and secure way to share your voice.

"New for WhatsApp -- we're adding the ability to instantly record and share a video message in your WhatsApp chats. It's as easy as sending a quick voice message," Zuckerberg said in a post.

Building on the voice message feature, the company has now introduced instant video messages. Now you can record and share short personal videos directly in the chat.

Video messages are limited to 60 seconds for now. "They are a real-time way to respond to chats with whatever you want to say and show in 60 seconds," the company said in a release.

"We think these will be a fun way to share moments with all the emotion that comes from video, whether it’s wishing someone a happy birthday, laughing at a joke, or bringing good news."

How to send video messages on Whatsapp?

Sending a video message is as easy as sending a voice message. The only thing users will have to do is tap on the voice message option to switch to video mode, and then simply hold to record the video.

Users can also swipe up to lock and record the video hands-free. Videos will play automatically on mute when opened in a chat, and tapping on the video will start the sound. Video messages are protected with end-to-end encryption to keep your messages secure.

Video messages have begun rolling out and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
