WhatsApp Update: WhatsApp has been adding several new features to make things easier for users. WhatsApp groups are one of the most popular features of the instant messaging app and provide an opportunity to connect with one another without too much of a hassle. So far, every group has to have a name. But there are instances when you don't come up with a name while creating a group. Making things simpler, Meta has introduced a new feature that lets you create groups without needing a name for it.

The feature, announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Thursday, will be useful in cases when you need to create it in a hurry. "Making it simpler to start WhatsApp groups by naming them based on who's in the chat when you don't feel like coming up with another name," Zuckerberg said in a post.

According to a statement issued by Meta, the unnamed groups will be named dynamically based on who is in the group.

"Unnamed groups of up to 6 participants will now be dynamically named based on who is in a group. Built with privacy in mind, the group name will display differently for each participant, based on how they have contacts saved in their phone. If you are added into a group with people who do not have your contact saved, your phone number will appear within the group name," the statement reads. The feature has started rolling out globally.

Just a few days back, Meta introduced a feature that allows users to send pictures in higher-quality "HD" format. This simply means that users can send better-quality images on WhatsApp. However, these images need not necessarily be always in original quality. In other words, these HD images too would be compressed to some extent when sent via WhatsApp. In order to do so, users will simply have to tap on the "HD" option on top of the screen while sending images.
