The Meta-owned popular messaging application WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new optional subscription plan that will offer additional features to business accounts.

According to a report from WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, WhatsApp is planning to redesign the user interface for the ‘Linked Device’ section for WhatsApp Business accounts.  The report further suggests that the app uses a different description for multi-device feature after the revamp.

“Add multiple devices to your account so different people in your business can talk to a customer in the same chat” the description reads as per the screenshot shared in the report.

As per the group, the optional subscriptions plan will offer additional features to these users such as the ability to add more than 4 devices in the multi-device feature and more. As per the report, additional services will be announced in the future.

Even if WhatsApp rolls out a subscription plan, it will be optional and the app will be free to use. The messaging application  may soon allow you to share your profile via URL on social media platforms, the report further added.

In related news, WhatsApp is likely working on another new feature. The messaging application reportedly adding the option to hide your 'last seen' status from specific contacts.

"With the latest beta release of its iOS app, WhatsApp has added an option that allows users to limit specific individuals from seeing their 'last scene' status, according to WABetaInfo," IANS report said.

"If you are not familiar with that part of WhatsApp, it is the feature that indicates when someone last checked the app, and it is a way to find out if a contact may have potentially seen your message even if they have read receipts turned off, the news agency quoted Engadget in its report.
