As per WaBetalnfo - a website that tracks WhatsApp, this is due to a bug in the instant messaging app. "Your phone number is no longer registered with WhatsApp on this phone. This might be because you registered it on another phone. If you didn't do this, verify your phone number to log back into your account," WaBetalnfo wrote on Twitter.

In a post on Twitter, the website said that the issue arose because of a bug ad nothing to worry about. "If you have been recently logged out from WhatsApp, on WhatsApp for Android, don't worry: it's a bug. You can log into WhatsApp again," it said. Some users also experienced an issue where older messages were not loaded. But now, it is working fine.

"Today WhatsApp has finally released a bug fix update, restoring the scrolling functionally. The fix is obviously available for everyone, so be sure to update in order to read your older messages," WaBetalnfo reported.

Meanwhile, after releasing new features like view once and the new archive, WhatsApp is now rolling out another useful option to edit pictures from WhatsApp Web/Desktop. If the feature is available for your WhatsApp account, before sending the image, WhatsApp will show some new options to edit it, like the possibility to add emojis, stickers, text and more

"WhatsApp is rolling out this feature today. If you don’t see this feature, don’t worry: more activations will be following very soon! Just be sure to be on the latest update on WhatsApp Web/Desktop and iOS/Android," the report said.
