'Last month, we announced that the feature was under development on WhatsApp beta for iOS and WhatsApp beta for Android but no news was available for the web/desktop client… until today. In fact, the dev team just finished to develop this feature on WhatsApp Desktop beta," WABetaInfo said in a report.

The screenshot WABetaInfo in its report shows that his section is finally ready even if the feature is still marked as under development. When WhatsApp will release the ability to manage this setting to Android, iOS, and Desktop, only people you choose can see when you’re online on WhatsApp.

Since this feature is finally developed for all their platforms (WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and Desktop), it shouldn’t be so long in order to get the feature enabled for our accounts and there will be an announcement when the feature is rolling out to users.

WhatsApp keeps working on the privacy setting that lets us hide our online presence by developing the feature for a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta. Two weeks ago, Mark Zuckerberg announced that WhatsApp was planning to release three new privacy features soon: past group participants, screenshot blocking and the ability to manage who can see when you’re online on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out the ability to watch Status directly from WhatsApp's chat list for iOS users. According to WABetaInfo, the beta version 22.18.0.70 is bringing the ability to view Status updates within the chat list. It has been released to certain beta testers, and therefore, it is still not available to everyone.
