PUBG lovers got a major boost on Tuesday when it was confirmed that PUBG Corporation that owns PUBG, PUBG Mobile, PUBG Mobile India, and PUBG Mobile Lite titles has set up its Indian subsidiary and has registered the company in India. The company has been registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs with a paid-up investment of Rs 5 lakh. This means that the recently announced, India-specific PUBG can be launched soon in the country.  

However, Apple iPhone users might have to wait a bit longer to get access to it. According to a report by Zee News, the Indian version of the PUBG Mobile India will be initially available only for users on the Android platform. It is likely  that the company would release the game for iOS users after a few days. 

The new company is registered in Bengaluru which means that the company may keep Bengaluru as its headquarters for the Indian subsidiary of PUBG Corporation and will control the operations of PUBG Mobile India game. 

Earlier, it was suggested that the game can return with a massive prize pool of Rs 6 crore. This could be a big news for gamers as the game is believed to offer a minimum salary ranging from 40,000 to Rs 2 Lakh for tier 1 teams.  

Besides, there might be cash prizes for special categories such as player with maximum foot travel distance, player with maximum number of head shots etc. Even though there is no official word on the prize money from the company, a press conference on the same is expected soon.  

Prior to that, the APK link to download the game briefly appeared for some users. Several PUBG players had claimed the ‘Download’ option was visible on the website’s news section, though it was not working.
