Yes, Netflix is free from today - Saturday. Netflix has started a scheme where it is allowing everyone to watch its programmes for free - a free-trial promotional offer. However, everyone should know that this will not last forever. In fact, the good times are there only for a while. What you can do is watch Netflix for free only for the duration of the weekend! However, for these 48 hours, money is not going to be something you need to worry about. So, what kind of money does Netflix charge or others? To compare, the Amazon Prime Video subscription costs Rs 999 for a year in India, while Netflix charges anywhere between 199 and 799 for a month.

So this chance allows you to do some binge-watching on your holiday. Netflix streaming platform has announced the Netflix Stream Fest in India during which it will offer free video streaming to everyone. What is more, Netflix says that users will not have to use their debit or credit cards at all to enjoy the programmes. People are apprhensive when they have to give their card information to anyone especially when they are not going to purcahse that product and this announcement is a big relief.

What viewers will get from Netflix is a code to access the app. The offer will be applicable on December 5 and 6. During these 48 hours, all users will have free access to Netflix content.

The new plan will begin with India and reach global markets over time, Netflix Chief Product Officer Greg Peters had revealed during the company's earnings call earlier this year.

“[W]e think that giving everyone in a country access to Netflix for free for a weekend could be a great way to expose a bunch of new people to the amazing stories that we have, the service, how the service works, really create an event, and hopefully get a bunch of those folks to sign up,” he said.
