Swiggy partners networking platform Apna

Swiggy and Apna, a leading professional networking platform for gig workers, on Thursday, announced a partnership to create 10,000 jobs for the online food delivery platform quick commerce grocery service Instamart this year. According to market research firm RedSeer, the quick commerce domain is anticipated to touch $5.5 billion by 2025, up from $0.3 billion in 2021. This rapid growth will increase the demand from enterprises to hire more delivery partners.

Amazon shuts down health-focused Halo division, lays off employees

Amazon has shuttered its health-focused Halo division and discontinued Halo Band, Halo View, and Halo Rise devices which are no longer available on its website. The company has also laid off employees from the Halo team.

Career engagement platform HerKey raises $4 million

HerKey which was earlier known as JobsForHer, has received $4 million funding from Kalaari and 360 ONE Asset. Some angel investors like Zia Mody, Puneet Dalmia, Pramit Jhaveri, Aditi & Shuchi Kothari, KP Balaraj, Ranjan Pai, Neeraj Bajaj, Akash Bhansali among others also took part in the round.

Zypp Electric to deploy 1 lakh e-scooters for Zomato by 2024

Zypp Electric on Tuesday said it will deploy 1 lakh e-scooters for online food delivery platform Zomato by 2024. The company said that the association is part of a larger plan of Zomato to go completely electric by 2030.

Anashwar Technologies wins Rs 5 lakh first prize in Grand Water Saving Challenge

Pune-based start-up Anashwar Technologies Private Limited has won the first prize of Rs five lakh in the Grand Water Saving Challenge, it was announced on Monday. The nationwide competition focused on the development of smart toilets that could clean feces with minimal water usage, and was organised by Hindustan Unilever in association with Startup India, Invest India, Toilet Board Coalition and AGNIi programme of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.

Zilingo co-founder Ankiti Bose files $100 million lawsuit against investor Mahesh Murthy

Singapore-based startup Zilingo`s former CEO, Ankiti Bose, who was sacked over alleged financial irregularities last year, has filed a $100 million defamation lawsuit against Mahesh Murthy, angel investor and co-founder of Seedfund, the media reported.
