Meat and eggs of this special breed of chicken are sold at a very high price. Dhoni has already ordered for 2,000 chickens for his farm in Ranchi.

Meat and eggs of this Black Chicken variety Kadaknath is considered very healthy as they contain less cholesterol and are very rich in protein. Even a heart patient can eat it without having the fear of high cholesterol. The meat of this rare chicken variety is also said to have medicinal value. Due to low fat and cholesterol, meat of this chicken is considered healthy for diabetic and heart patients.  

Kadaknath chicken is sold for Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 apiece in the market. High demand and less supply of this breed of chicken and its eggs have ensured that there is no fixed rate and they are sold at an exorbitant price.
