The ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is planning to set up a digital trade desk for increasing collaborations among companies from India and other countries and promoting exchange of data.  Addressing the valedictory function of International SME Convention here, MSME Secretary Arun Kumar Panda said: "The ministry has planned to set up a digital trade desk aimed at furthering more collaborations between SMEs of India and other countries and for exchange of data".  He also said that another mega international event is being planned. 
The convention, organised by the ministry, saw participation of 160 SMEs from 39 countries.

The three-day event concluded with discussions on issues, including international best practices on SME development and cooperation, global business opportunities and problems faced by women entrepreneurs. 

"23 agreements were signed between SMEs of India and the UK, Russia, Uzbekistan, Poland, Bhutan, Austria, Czech Republic, Cameroon and Sri Lanka," the ministry said in a statement.
