Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has just shown that she is seriously interested in ensuring that we return our environment to its erstwhile pristine nature.  Aishwarya has just invested in environmental intelligence startup Ambee. The popular actor has invested Rs 50 lakh along with her mother Vrinda KR. Bachchan has made an angel investment in the Bengaluru-based startup Ambee, which provides data about hyperlocal air quality.

This investment in Ambee, is Bachchan’s second known investment in environment friendly technology. She had earlier invested in wind power projects in Maharashtra.

Ambee is environmental data provider company started in 2017 by Akshay Joshi, Jaideep Singh and Madhusudan Anand. The company tracks hyperlocal air quality and over a 100 sensors installed in Bengaluru. The platform uses proprietary data and analytics to help users take preventive measures in a situation of severe pollution. 

Ambee has managed to bag funds from various investors in the last seven months, including Former Google India Managing Director Rajan Anandan. 

The Bollywood is showing huge interest towards startup industry. The actors who have poured some investments in the startups are Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Akshay Kumar.
