SBI Debit Card EMI: In October 2019, the State Bank of India (SBI) introduced SBI debit card EMI facility to its select customers who had better bank records and CIBIL rating. Under this SBI debit card EMI facility, the largest Indian commercial bank allowed its customers to convert the debit card payments into six to 18 months EMI. So, those SBI customer who has paid using SBI debit card through PoS (point of sale) machine has now the luxury to covert SBI debit card online payment into six to 18 EMIs.

While opting for this SBI debit card EMI offer, some of the benefits that customers can avail of under this service include zero documentation, no processing fee, no branch visit, instant disbursal and zero cost EMI on select brands. The SBI debit card EMIs will begin one month after the completion of SBi debit card online transaction.

According to the SBI, "Debit Card EMI will enable customers to buy consumer durable products on EMI at various merchant stores pan India using their debit cards without having to pay entire amount immediately. This facility can be availed in less than a minute irrespective of the existing saving bank account balance."

How to claim SBI debit card EMI

Those who use SBI net baking can convert their SBI debit card EMI as they do it by converting their SBI credit card online payment by simply selecting the EMI option of payment. Those who can't use SBI net baking can send an SMS at 567676. The text message should be in the format "DCEMI." After receiving this text message, the SBI will send you a reply about your eligibility and other terms and conditions. They will also send you option about the EMI tenure ranging from six to 18 SBI debit card EMIs along with other details (both on your registered mobile number and the e-mail ID). Once you give your nod, your SBI debit card EMI will become available from they next month.
