UIDAI confirmed that Patna and Guwahati centres would also be made operational this week. UIDAI is planning to open 114 such centres in 53 cities across India by the end of the year.

Customers can apply for a new Aadhaar card, update of name, address, mobile number, email id, date of birth, gender and biometrics (photo, fingerprints, and iris) data through these UIDAI-run centres.

Aadhar card applicants and existing holders can take an online appointment at UIDAI's website to book a date and time slot for availing various Aadhaar-related services through the official website ie. appointments.uidai.gov.in

Each of the ASK have the capacity to handle up to 1,000 enrolments and update requests per day. The centres are open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m (last token issued at 5:30 pm) for six days a week (including weekends).

Aadhaar Seva Kendra has a token system where the resident first gets a token for their Aadhaar related work and then moves to a ‘verifier’ for document checking. Once the verification is completed, the resident is supposed to move to ‘cash counter’ for payment of charges for Aadhaar update, if required and is then assigned an ‘operator counter’ from the 16 operator work stations.

The entire token movement is displayed on digital display screens for easy movement and queue management.

These Aadhaar Seva Kendras have a capacity to handle up to 1,000 enrolments and update request per day and will be open for six days a week including weekends from 9:30 am to 6 pm. The centres will be closed only on Tuesdays and public holidays and will remain open on weekends. UIDAI said that Vijayawada ASK will be open on all 7 days.

You can take an online advance appointment and visit the Adhaar centre at your convenience.
