1] Life cover against PF account: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) gives free life cover to the Provident Fund (PF) account holders. Each and every EPFO subscriber is insured free of cost under EDLI 1976 rules once his or her PF or EPF account gets opened. The EPFO subscribers are eligible for life cover up to 20 times of their monthly basic salary or Rs 6 lakh, whichever is minimum. The insurance claim can be done by the EPFO subscriber's nominee in the case of prolonged illness, accidental death or normal death. Life cover under EDLI is given one time to the nominee who has claimed EDLI claim.

2] Insurance for Jan Dhan account holders: Under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), a Jan Dhan account holder is given RuPay debit card and a savings bank account. Insurance for Jan Dhan account holder is Rs 2 lakh and an additional Rs 30,000 on RuPay debit card (in case of accidental death). Interestingly, the Jan Dhan khata holder need not to pay any premium for such insurances.

3] Insurance on debit, credit card: Depending upon the type of credit card and its service provider a Credit Card holder gets accidental life cover up to Rs 50 lakh. Similarly, Indian banks give accidental life cover up to Rs 10 lakh, depending upon the type of card the bank account holder is using. But, for that, both credit and debit cad have to be operational and the nominee of the credit, debit card holder will have to claim accidental death cover within 90 days of the death of the credit, debit card holder.

4] Life cover for LPG cylinder connection: Your LPG cylinder connection makes you eligible for accidental life coverage in the case of fire caused by LPG cylinder leak or LPG cylinder blast. In this free LPG cylinder accidental life coverage, one can get up to Rs 50 lakh life cover. As per the LPG cylinder accidental life cover rules, one will get up to Rs 2 lakh on house hold damage and Rs 6 lakh for each death. One can claim hospitalisation claim up to Rs 30 lakh in LPG Cylinder accidental life coverage. One can get up to Rs 2 lakh per head hospitalisation claim.

5] Life cover on mobile recharge: Though life cover on mobile recharge is given by limited mobile operators. Airtel is one of them which has huge operation network and clientele. If you are an Airtel customer, you can Rs 4 lakh term insurance on Rs 279 and Rs 2 lakh term insurance on 179 Airtel recharge plan. But, to get this benefit, Airtel customers will have to enroll themselves under the life cover plan after the Airtel recharge by sending an SMS or through Airtel Thanks App. On can do the same by visiting the authoised Airtel retail shop as well.
