In yet another hike, domestic Oil Marketing companies (OMCs) increased the prices of petrol and diesel for the second consecutive day on Saturday, June 12. The prices have been hiked by 27 paise per litre and 24 paise per litre for petrol and diesel respectively in the four metro cities, showed Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) data. This has been almost a continuous hike since May 4 when OMCs had increased petrol and diesel prices after a gap of 18 days.  Petrol and diesel prices are costliest in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, where petrol was priced at Rs 106.94 per litre and diesel at Rs 99.80 a litre on Friday.

With this rate revision in fuel rates on Saturday, Petrol and diesel prices are being retailed at Rs 96.12 per litre and Rs 86.98 per litre respectively in Delhi. 

In the financial capital Mumbai, a litre of petrol now costs Rs 102.30 and diesel is priced at Rs 94.39, according to the Indian Oil Corporation website.  

Similarly in Kolkata, petrol is being sold at Rs 96.06 per litre and diesel at Rs 89.83 per litre on Saturday. 

In Chennai, petrol price on Saturday is Rs 97.43 per litre, while diesel price is Rs 91.64  

Meanwhile, petrol prices have been increased by Rs 5.30 and diesel has got costlier by Rs 5.84 per litre sine May 4. Costliest petrol and diesel prices in the country is in
