Indian Oil Corporation has introduced One QR Code for all apps to facilitate hassle free transaction by its customers. This will help customers avoid taking out credit/ debit card at IOC petrol pumps and other outlets. This also do away with paper bill that is generated after making payment through debit/credit cards. This facility by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is available at all Indian oil petrol pumps.

Now, Indian Oil customers can scan the code from any of the apps—Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, MobiKwik, Bhim, UPI — to complete the transaction.

This move will not only reduce paper consumption, but will also promote Modi government's much ambitious Digital India drive and is more environment friendly.

IOC tweeted about this new facility. It wrote, "#IndianOil introduces one QR code for all payment apps. Simply scan the code from any one of the payment apps you have and enjoy a hassle-free transaction. #IndianOilPay #digitalpayments"

Meanwhile, Since PM Narendra Modi came to power at the Centre in 2014, there has been a huge emphasis on 'Digital India' movement.
