The wealth of investors has gone up by Rs 3.86 lakh crore in two days of market rise since the historic victory of BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the just-concluded Lok Sabha elections. On Monday, the value of as many as four stocks increased by over 10%, while one gained 9.95% at the benchmark Sensex, according to the official BSE website. Price of Avanti Feeds Limited increased by 17.34% in the intra-day trade, concluding the day at 402.00. Other gainers in the top five were, Navkar Corporation Ltd (15.17%), Ashoka Buildcon Ltd (145.15%), Bombay Dyeing & MFG Co. Ltd (10.19%) and Tata Steel Ltd (9.95%). Some of the top losers today were Manpasand Beverages Ltd (-20%), Page Industries Limited (-10.43%), DIVI's Laboratories Ltd (-9.59%), Astrazeneca Pharma India Ltd (-8.65%) and PC Jeweller Ltd (-5.70%).

Top Gainers on BSE today 

The BSE Sensex has gained 872 points after the decisive mandate for BJP-led NDA. On Monday, the Sensex closed 248.57 points higher at 39,683.29. Led by the rally in the equity market, the market capitalisation (m-cap) of BSE-listed companies rose by Rs 3,86,220.41 crore to Rs 1,54,11,395.90 crore on the BSE.

Among other gainers today were Tata Steel, YES Bank, NTPC, Larsen and Toubro, Axis Bank and State Bank of India. 

Shares of GAIL India gained over 2 per cent on Monday after the public sector company reported a 20 per cent rise in its net profit in the March quarter. On BSE, Gail India scrip went up 2.13 per cent to close at Rs 348.35. On NSE, its shares rose 1.90 per cent to close at Rs 348.15 apiece.

PM-elect Narendra Modi will take oath once again as the prime minister on May 30 at 7.00pm at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
