Mutual Fund Investment With Anil Singhvi: In the last six months, mutual fund yield has gone down drastically and hence various fund houses are looking to find out a solution for this problem with new offerings. Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi today talked to A. Balasubramanian, MD and  CEO at Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC about the recently launched Aditya Birla Sun Life Special Opportunity Fund. In chat with Singhvi, Balasubramanian said that the fund has been made with 40-45 stocks that have good valuation and strong business model. He said that it will help investors to come out of the COVID-19 financial heat in long-term and at the same time it will help companies that have good business model and attractive valuations to generate liquidity post-COVID.

Speaking on the stocks chosen in the Aditya Birla Sun Life Special Opportunity Fund, Balasubramanian said, "During COVID-19, both companies and public in general had to face a major financial crisis. And this situation remained for around six months as well. The newly launched fund by Aditya Birla Sun Life has been made in such a way that both companies and the investors will be benefited in long-term."

Balasubramanian said that Aditya Birla Sun Life Special Opportunity Fund is made of 40-45 stocks that have attractive valuations and strong business model. So, in the wake of COVID-19 crisis, this fund will help both investors and the chosen companies to beat the financial heat of lockdown. "This fund has no restriction of investing in mid-cap, small-cap and large-cap stock to a certain extent and hence our fund manger can invest in any of the stocks that fulfills the two features mentioned earlier — attractive valuations and strong business model," said Balasubramanian.

Balasubramanian also said that the fund managers will be able to invest in overseas stocks also because the fund allows them to invest up to 25 per cent in the international stock market. So, at a time when Indian stock market is not doing well, one can get that pared by investing in the international markets.
