The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) says that it is treating the death claims arising due to corona virus COVID 19 on par with other causes of death. The Death claim is processed as per the terms and conditions of the Policy the state-run insurer says and all the claims will be treated in accordance with the Policy conditions.

Besides Covid-19 death claims, even if a policy is nearing its maturity date, the LIC will credit the money in bank accounts on time, it says. The money will be credited into bank account registered under policy on due date, for all policies where the required documents have been submitted as communicated 180 days before the date of maturity of policy.
