It must be noted that the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has put up a number of tweets from its official Twitter handle to remind the GST taxpayers under various categories to file their returns for the month of November 2021 today.

In one of its tweets from its official Twitter handle, CBIC said, "Attention GST Taxpayers who are not under QRMP Scheme! Today is the last date to file your monthly GSTR-3B Return for the month of November, 2021."

It must be noted that December 20, 2021 is also the last date for filing GSTR-5 for the month of November. The CBIC tweet said, "Attention Non-Resident GST Taxpayers! Today is the last date for filing monthly GSTR-5 Return for the month of November, 2021."

As for the Online Information and Database Access or Retrieval (OIDAR) Service Suppliers also, the last date for filing GSTRR-5A return for the month of August is today, December 20, 2021. In this regard, CBIC tweeted, "Attention OIDAR Services Suppliers! Today is the last date for filing monthly GSTR-5A Return for the month of November, 2021."

In this context, the Income Tax (IT) payers must note that the IT Department on Thursday extended the IT return filing date. Taxpayers can now file ITR till December 31, 2021. The decision was taken considering the difficulties reported by the taxpayers and other stakeholders in the filing of Income Tax Returns and various reports of audit for the Assessment Year 2021-22 under the Income-tax Act, 1961.
