Kanya Sumangla Yojana: The Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government has planned to adopt various measures and incentive programs to boost welfare of female children and ensure a great future for them. On October 25, the government will launch 'Kanya Sumangla Yojana' to encourage the birth of daughters in the state. CM Yogi Adityanath will be launching the scheme on that date. Under this Rs 15,000 will be given for a maximum of six times, till the daughter reaches the inter level at school.

1. How to apply for Kanya Sumangla Yojana online

The website (mksy.up.gov.in) has been set up to accept online applications for the scheme. The government has also kept a budget of Rs 1,200 crores for the scheme in the current financial year. One can apply online via website by filling his/her daughter's details online. The government will also provide offline application facility for this soon.

2. Daughters born after April

According to the government, Rs 15,000 will be given for a maximum of six times from the time of birth of the child to the inter stage at school under Kanya Sumangla Yojana. If the daughter is born on April 1, 2019 or thereafter, she will get her first installment from the government. After this, the girls who have completed vaccination within 1 year and not born before April 1, 2018 will get a second installment.

3. Money will be given for six times

The child taking admission in the first class in the current academic season will get the third set of funds under Kanya Sumangla Yojana. While the girls who have enrolled in class 6 will get their fourth set of funds from government. The fifth installment will be given to the girls who have enrolled in class 9 in the current session. The girls who have passed their inter and admitted to graduation will get sixth installment.

4. Annual income of Rs 3 lakh

The benefit of Kanya Sumangla Yojana will be available only to those who have an annual income up to a maximum of Rs 3 lakh. In this, only two daughters of a family will be given benefit.

- Rs 2000 after admission in class 6
- Rs 3000 after admission in class 9

6. Government changed Kanya Sumangla Yojana

Under this scheme, students who are enrolled in diplomas after 12th class were eligible, but students studying diploma courses after 10th were not getting the benefits under the scheme. Due to this, the students who enrolled in diploma courses of polytechnics and IERT were also not getting the benefit of the scheme. There was a constant demand for this change, after which the new rules were announced by the government.
