The grievance redressal mechanism of the I-T department has come up with a quick solution. In order to ease the grievances process of income tax returns (ITR) filing, the department has come up with a new facility for the citizens. Now the users can directly raise their complaints or grievances through an e-filing form. Users having issues regarding the refunds or e-verification, the rectification of filed returns, doubts regarding taxability or income tax filing process,  discrepancies between TDS deducted and Form 16 or any other technical issues in validating PAN, Aadhaar ID, can be raised directly through the portal.

The users can directly apply for the above mentioned grievances through the e-filling form in a easy format. They need to follow these steps mentioned below:  

Steps to raise complaints:

1. User needs to visit the link, https://www1.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-FilingGS/Services/ORM.html

2. Enter details such as;
a) Name of the taxpayer
b) PAN no
c) Assessment year
d)Mobile number
e) email id
f) Enter the query in the description box
g) social media details (Optional).

3. Enter the captcha code and click on submit.

After submitting the query a ticket number will be generated, which will be sent to the registered mail id and the mobile number of the user. By these easy steps, you can raise your complaints directly to the grievance redressal mechanism of the IT department. Interestingly, using this new form the grievances raised under e-nivaran that remain unresolved can again be communicated to the department.
