The Union Cabinet has approved 7th Pay Commission recommendations, which had recommended an overall hike of 23.5%. The Cabinet meeting was headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The 23.55% overall hike in salaries, allowances and pension would entail an additional burden of Rs 1.02 lakh crore or nearly 0.7% of the GDP, to the exchequer.

The entry level pay has been recommended to be raised to Rs 18,000 per month from current Rs 7,000 while the maximum pay, drawn by the Cabinet Secretary, has been fixed at Rs 2.5 lakh per month from current Rs 90,000.

As per the Zee Business calculation: 

--If your present basic salary is Rs 7000, then post 7th CPC the salary will be Rs 18000. If your present gross salary is Rs 18,750 then post 7th CPC it will be Rs 23,670.

-- If your present basic salary is Rs 17,800, then post 7th CPC it will be Rs 46,100. If present gross salary is Rs 47,190, then post 7th CPC, salary will be Rs 60,764.

-- If your present basic salary is Rs 24,600, then post 7th CPC it will be Rs 64,100. If present gross salary is Rs 66,330, then post 7th CPC it will be Rs 83,084.

--If your present basic salary is Rs 31,600, then post 7th CPC it will be Rs 83,300. If your present gross salary is Rs 87,780, then post 7th CPC it will be Rs 1,10,492.

--If your present basic salary is Rs 37,600, then post 7th CPC it will be Rs 96,900. If your present gross salary is Rs 1,03,080, then post 7th CPC it will be Rs 1,27,356.

--Enter Your Current (6th CPC) Basic Pay (Band Pay + Grade Pay) and Select Your Pay Band with Grade Pay

--Select Your Present HRA% and Select your Transport Allowance and also select your city as per the recommendations of 7th CPC

--Click the ‘Calculate’ button to get your 7th CPC Revised Basic Pay, Matrix Level, Index Level, Revised amount of HRA, Revised amount of --Travelling Allowance and the Total Revised Pay per month as per the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission.
