Again, today, September 10, 2021 is also the last date for filing GSTR-8 Return for the month of August. The tweet from the official Twitter handle of CBIC said, "Attention E-Commerce Operators who are required to collect Tax at Source under GST! Today is the last date to file your GSTR-8 Return for the month of August, 2021."

In case of those who are not under QRMP scheme, the last date for filing the returns for GSTR-1 for the month of August is tomorrow, September 11, 2021. The official CBIC tweet says, "Attention GST Taxpayers who are not under QRMP Scheme! File your GSTR-1 Return for the month of August, 2021 before September 11, 2021."

In this context, the Income Tax (IT) payers must note that the IT Department on Thursday extended the IT return filing date. Taxpayers can now file ITR till December 31, 2021. The decision was taken considering the difficulties reported by the taxpayers and other stakeholders in the filing of Income Tax Returns and various reports of audit for the Assessment Year 2021-22 under the Income-tax Act, 1961.
