At 11:30 am, Gold October Futures on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) were trading 0.14 per cent down at Rs 49,380 per 10 grams.

Likewise, the Silver December futures were trading in red at Rs 54,750 per kg. The metal was down by 1.14 per cent.

Notably, commodities are still under pressure due to the strength in the US dollar index. A slight rebound was seen yesterday but couldn't sustain. As the strengthening of the American currency and risk-averse sentiment among investors weighed on the local unit, the rupee depreciated 40 paise to an all-time low of 81.93 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday.
