Gold Price today, May 4: June gold opened in red on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Tuesday, while the prices of precious yellow metal in the international market edged lower on Tuesday after hitting a more than two-month high in the previous session. Globally, this came amid a stronger dollar and optimistic comments from US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell on the economy weighed on the metal's safe-haven appeal, reported Reuters.

Meanwhile on MCX, June Gold Futures was trading at Rs 47290 per 10 gram, down Rs 29 or 0.06% at 9.30 am on Tuesday, May 4. It opened on Rs 47226 and went to scale Rs 47314 per 10 gram on the Multi Commodity Exchange.  

In the international market, Spot gold was down 0.2% at $1,789.02 per ounce.  The metal touched its highest since Feb. 25 at $1,797.75 on Monday. Currently,  it was trading at $1789.03 per ounce on Tuesday as on 9.30.

Gold Price in Mumbai: Yellow metal is priced at Rs 44,360 for 22-carat and Rs 45,360 for 24-carat in Mumbai.  

Gold price in Delhi: In the National Capital, gold is selling at Rs 45,570 for 22-carat and Rs 49,770 for 24-carat.  

Gold price in Chennai: In the southern state 22-carat gold is available for Rs 44,220 and Rs 48,240 for 24-carat.

Gold price in Kolkata: 22-carat Gold is being sold at Rs 46,310 and Rs 49,100 for 24-carat gold in Kolkata.  

Gold rate in Pune is Rs 44,360 for 22-carat and Rs 45,360 for 24-carat. Gold price in Nagpur is Rs 44,360 for 22-carat, and Rs 45,360 for 24-carat.
