PF Transfer Online: The EPF which is commonly known as Provident Fund (PF) can be transferred online. The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) members must know that there are certain things that they must know about the PF online transfer process. In case of any queries and doubts, the interested individuals can login to the official website of EPFO at epfindia.gov.in.

When should one transfer PF?

An EPFO members will know that the person needs a PF transfer when the individual has more than one PF members IDs (MIDs) and the PF amount of these MIDs has not been transferred into the latest MID. The member is  then required to get his or her PF transferred into his current MID.

What are the information needed?

The information that are required for the online PF transfer process are as follows:

1) The employee should have activated his UAN

2) The Aadhaar number and the bank account account number should have been seeded against the UAN

3) The date of exit from the previous employment

4) The e-KYC should be approved by the employer

5) Only one transfer request against the previous member ID can be accepted

6) The personal details reflecting under the 'Member Profile' must be verified and confirmed before applying

PF transfer online process

The EPFO members must note that they need to follow certain steps to transfer EPF online.
They are as follows:

Step 1: First, the EPFO member will have to visit the 'Unified Member Portal' and login with UAN and password

Step 2: The members will then have to go to 'Online services' and click on 'One Member - One EPF Account (Transfer Request)'

Step 3: Next, the EPFO members will have to verify the personal information and PF account for present employment

Step 4: The candidates will then have to click on the 'Get Details' option where the PF account of previous employment would appear

Step 5: The EPFO members will now have to choose either previous employer or current employer for attesting form

Step 6: The members will then have to click on the ' Get OTP' option to receive OTP on the UAN registered mobile number

Step 7: Finally, the EPFO members will have to enter the OTP and click on Submit
