The government said that the public should not fall into the trap of fraudsters asking for personal documents like Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, bank account or OTP in the name of any service of EPFO.

The PF organisation clearly mentioned that they never ask for any personal details over phone, social media, WhatsApp etc. "#EPFO never asks its members to share their personal details like Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, Bank Account or OTP over phone or on social media," said the official tweet.

EPFO also said "For any services, EPFO never asks to deposit any money through WhatsApp, Social Media etc."

Furthermore, the EPFO has also advised its members never to respond to any such calls or messages asking for personal details and more.

The EPFO members must be knowledgeable about maintaining the security of their online documents. They must be aware that some EPFO services are accessible through DigiLocker.

DigiLocker is a secure cloud-based platform for document and certificate storage, sharing, and verification. On Android and iOS devices, the software can be downloaded.

The EPFO services available on DigiLocker are:

1) UAN card

2) Pension Payment Order (PPO)

3) Scheme Certificate

Note: In case of any query and further details, the EPFO members can login to the official EPFO website at epfindia.gov.in.
