WhatsApp Banking: Indian bank customers caught in lockdown due to coronavirus spread can now operate their bank savings account on WhatsApp. Known as WhatsApp Banking Services, the private sector bank has taken lead in providing WhatsApp Banking in India. private sector bank ICICI Bank has initiated the WhatsApp Banking, which is called ICICI Stack or WhatsApp Banking ICICI. This move by the ICICI Bank would help both retail and business category customers of the bank.

The ICICI Bank informed about its WhatsApp Banking services from its official twitter handle citing, "#JustIn: #ICICIBank launches banking services on WhatsApp, to enable its retail customers to undertake a slew of banking requirements from their home. #BankFromHome #ICICIBankWhatsAppBanking," adding, "With #ICICIBankWhatsAppBanking, you can now avail a host of banking services with just a few clicks, from the comfort of your home."

On how one can start WhatsApp Banking, ICICI Bank tweet informs, "Add the number 9324953001 to your contacts and Say ‘Hi’ on 9324953001 from your registered mobile number to start the conversation by getting a secure and interactive menu on your mobile screen through WhatsApp messaging platform."

Whether the WhatsApp Banking bot of the ICICI Bank is safe and secure from the cyber criminals the ICICI Bank answers on its official website citing, "Yes, banking on WhatsApp is safe. All messages are secured with end to end encryption. Your account information is not shared with anyone. You do not need to enter any confidential information such as PIN or password on WhatsApp."

WhatsApp banking at ICICI Bank includes around 500 types of banking services that include online or digital account opening, loan application, online payments and investment-related banking services. ICICI Bank retail customers can use WhatsApp Banking ICICI service for fishing out information like savings account balance, last three transactions, credit card limit, etc.
