Bank Holidays This Week: The bank customers must note that the banks will remain closed for a number of days across different cities this week due to certain festivals including Diwali. The bank customers must check when banks will remain non-operational at their cities. On these days, the bank customers will not be able to withdraw and deposit money at their respective bank branches.

November 1, 2021 - Kannada Rajyostsava and Kut - The bank customers must note that banks will remain closed today, November 1, 2021 in Bengaluru and Imphal for these occasions.

November 3, 2021- Naraka Chaturdashi - On Wednesday, the banks will again remain closed on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in Bengaluru.

November 4, 2021 - Diwali Amavasaya (Laxmi Pujan)/Deepavali/Kali Puja - On Thursday, the banks will remain closed in all the cities except Bengaluru.

November 5, 2021 - Diwali (Bali Pratipada)/Vikram Samvant New Year Day/Govardhan Pooja - On Friday, the banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nagpur.

November 6, 2021 - Bhai Duj/Chitragupt Jayanti/Laxmi - On Saturday, the banks will remain closed in Gangtok, Imphal, Kanpur, Lucknow and Shimla

It has to be noted that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), grants holidays to the banks under three categories. They are Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.

Next week also there are a number of days when the banks will remain closed. They are as follows:

November 10, 2021 - Chhath Puja/ Surya Pashti Dala Chhath (Sayan ardhya) - The banks will remain closed in Patna and Ranchi.

November 11, 2021 - Chhath Puja - The banks will remain closed in Patna.

November 12, 2021 - Wangala Festival - The banks will remain closed in Shillong

Furthermore, the banks will remain closed on Sunday, November 7, 2021 this week.

It can be noted that online banking services will continue to operate on holidays as well. Bank customers will not be able to withdraw and deposit money at the bank branches due to the holidays. However, ATMs, mobile banking will also be available during these days.
