Aadhaar verify mobile number: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new feature that let users verify the number or email seeded with Aadhaar. This comes as a relief to several Aadhaar card holders as they had raised concerns regarding about their Aadhaar OTP being sent to an incorrect mobile number.

According to UIDAI, there were several instances where residents were not aware of which of their mobile numbers is seeded to their Aadhaar. Residents were worried that Aadhaar OTP might be going to some other mobile number. The new feature of UIDAI will let residents check it quite easily.

Aadhaar Update Alert: Step-by-step guide to check it 

One can visit the official website of Aadhaar i.e. myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in or visit through mAadhaar App and check details under the section ‘Verify email/mobile Number’ 

It has been developed for the residents to verify that their own email/mobile number is seeded with respective Aadhaar.

This feature gives confirmation to residents that email/mobile numbers under his/her knowledge only seeded to the respective Aadhaar. It also notifies the resident in case a particular mobile number is not linked, and informs the resident to take necessary steps to update the mobile number, if they wish so.

In case the mobile number is already verified residents will see a message like, ‘the mobile number you have entered is already verified with our records’, displayed on their screen.

In case a resident does not remember the mobile number, she/he has given during enrolment she/he can check the last three digits of the mobile on Verify Aadhaar feature on the Myadhaar portal or mAadhaar App.

If a resident wants to link email/mobile number with Aadhaar or want to update her/his email/mobile number, she/he may visit a nearest Aadhaar centre.
