7th Pay Commission: The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has invited applications for the post of General Manager. The total number of vacancies mentioned in the FCI recruitment notification is two. The appointment under the notification will be on a deputation basis. The last date for receipt of the application for the post-FCI General Manager is 19th August 2019. Interested candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria can apply for the post of FCI General Manager before the deadline. Selected candidates will draw a salary from Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 2,60,000 per month, which falls under the 13th pay matrix of the 7th CPC.

The officers selected for the post of FCI General Manager under the notification can be offered an option of permanent absorption in the FCI services. However, the decision to offer permanent absorption or not at the end of deputation period is completely a discretionary power of the recruiter i.e. FCI, the FCI notification clarifies.

Educational Qualification: The minimum qualification required for the post of FCI General Manager is a degree from a recognised university or equivalent in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering stream. Apart from this M.Tech in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be desirable.

Professional experience: A minimum of 10 year experience in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering works. Out of this, a minimum of 5 years experience should be in or as a capacity of Executive Engineer or equivalent or above.

Selection Process: The concerned FCI officials would shortlist the applicants after the last date of application receipt and then they would ask the shortlisted candidates to come for the interview. Selected candidates post-interview would be posted in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati.
